Yandex.Taxi acquired Ride-Sharing Businesses in Russia and Neighboring Countries of Uber Uber Technologies, Inc. on February 07, 2018. Tigran Khudaverdyan, ex-Chief Executive Officer of Yandex.Taxi, has become the Chief Executive Officer of the combined business. Yandex has appointed John Boynton, Chairman of the Board of Yandex N.V.; Arkady Volozh, its CEO; Greg Abovsky, its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer; and Vadim Marchuk, its Vice President, Corporate Development, as its designated members on the supervisory board of the combined company; and Uber has appointed Cameron Poetzscher, its VP of Corporate Development, Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty, its VP and Regional General Manager, EMEA, and Michelle DeBella, its Global Head of Internal Audit, as its designated members on the supervisory board. Yandex.Taxi completed the acquisition of Ride-Sharing Businesses in Russia and Neighboring Countries of Uber Technologies, Inc. on February 07, 2018. Neighboring countries , including Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus and Georgia. Post completion, New company will have $325 million of cash on its balance sheet and no debt. Of the $325 million, $225 million will be invested by Uber and $100 million will come from Yandex. NewCo will be owned approximately 59.3% by Yandex, 36.6% by Uber and 4.1% by its employees.
