Target will be home to Ulta Beauty mini shops come August offering more than four dozen products.
The unique cross brand initiative, involving hundreds of the mini shops, may prove to be a "delicate balancing act," according to Stephanie Wissink, a Jefferies retail analyst, who was cited in a CNBC report on the retail partnership.
"We fully believe this will be incremental and in fact will drive traffic to both Target as well as drive traffic to Ulta as they introduce more guests to their brands and their experience," Target's Chief Growth Officer Christina Hennington told the news outlet.
