HAYWARD, Calif. (AP) _ Ultra Clean Holdings Inc. (UCTT) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $17.1 million.

The Hayward, California-based company said it had net income of 39 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 99 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 95 cents per share.

The chipmaking equipment services company posted revenue of $515.2 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in October, Ultra Clean expects its per-share earnings to range from 94 cents to $1.10.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $520 million to $560 million for the fiscal third quarter.

Ultra Clean shares have climbed 74% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $54.13, an increase of 80% in the last 12 months.
