Notice Concerning Application for Selection of "Prime Market"

in Tokyo Stock Exchange New Market Segments

Unicharm Corporaion (the "Company") received the results of the initial assessment of its compliance with the listing standards of the new market segments from the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) on July 9, 2021. Furthermore, the Company has confirmed that it is compliance with the listing standards of the Prime Market.

Based on these results, the Board of Directors of the Company resolved at its meeting held on November 5, 2021 to select and apply for listing on the Prime Market.

Henceforth, the Company will proceed with the prescribed procedures related to the application for the selection of the new market segment in accordance with the schedule set forth by the TSE.
