UniCredit is reinforcing its management team in Italy. The enhanced team will be responsible for the successful steering of the business in line with the new strategic plan to be presented on 9 December. The new appointments ensure greater accountability across all business areas, placing clients firmly at the heart of all activities, as well as further integrating technology, leveraging digitalisation as a key driver of success, and providing complete clarity on key roles and responsibilities. Remo Taricani, appointed as Head of Network Italy, will coordinate the bank's commercial network and alternative distribution channels, focusing on customer growth and development as well as on simplifying the organisational structure with constant attention to quality and speed of service and ensuring consistency with Group initiatives. Massimiliano Mastalia, new Head of Corporate Italy, will lead Italy's corporate area. Massimiliano has considerable experience in the sector having previously covered leading roles at BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas and Depobank, and as co-founder of Prestatech GmbH. Andrea Casini, current Head of Corporate Italy, is leaving the Group after more than 40 years of experience in roles of great responsibility both in Italy and abroad, including most recently as Co-Head of Italy. Marica Campilongo will be responsible for Corporate Development Italy, reporting to Massimiliano Mastalia, with a focus on strengthening strategic dialogue with clients. Marica has extensive experience in managing corporate clients and deep knowledge of Structured and Corporate Finance services. The new appointments are already effective.
