Background/Description of the Disclosure
Please be informed that the Board of Directors of Union Bank of the Philippines approved the hiring of the following senior officers, effective January 3, 2022:
1. MR. ERIC S. LUSTRE, Head of Trust with the rank of Executive Vice President under the Office of the President & CEO.
Mr. Lustre served as the President & CEO of the Philam Asset Management, Inc. (PAMI) since 2016. He also held the Chairmanship of the Investment Committee where he reviewed proposed tactical asset allocation and monitored investment performance and adherence to portfolio investment mandates to ensure consistency in meeting investment goals. He started his career in PhilamLife as Chief Credit Officer and was responsible for the Credit Risk Management of the parent company and its subsidiaries. He ensured that Philamlife and its subsidiaries and affiliates aligned with AIA Group credit policies and guidelines. He also established exposure to local banks, brokers and corporate obligors, and periodic review of these exposures.
His banking career started in Far East Bank Trust Company as a Staff Assistant for Corporate Account Management for 3 years, and with Citibank NA as Assistant Manager for Corporate Sales for another 3 years.
2. MR. CHRISTIAN GREGORIO N. RUBIO, Senior Product Manager with the rank of Assistant Vice President under the EON Business.
