Bradley Shairson, a 13-year veteran of the banking industry, has joined Union Bank of California, N.A., as a senior vice president and head of the bank's global foreign exchange and derivatives departments. In his new position, Shairson will oversee the two departments' 30 traders and advisors, monitor trading and sales activity, and set the strategic direction of the businesses. He will report to Johannes (Johs) Worsoe, executive vice president and head of global markets.

Shairson joins Union Bank from SunTrust Banks, Inc., where he served as the managing director and senior risk officer for derivatives and foreign exchange since 1997. Shairson received a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Florida. He is a resident of Hermosa Beach.
