Milan, 7 June 2021

With the aim of speeding up the national vaccination campaign against Covid-19, the Unipol Group prepared a vaccine plan for all employees of the Unipol Group, their family members, agents and agency employees in coordination with the applicable national and regional institutions.

This is the first vaccine plan developed by a company to cover the entire national territory.

Today, Letizia Moratti, Deputy President and Welfare Councillor for the Lombardy Region, and Carlo Cimbri, Chief Executive Officer and Group CEO of Unipol Gruppo, opened the first corporate vaccine hub in Milan, set up by the Unipol Group in via de Castillia 23. Twenty vaccine centres were set up in Lombardy and two hubs in Milan (in via dei Missaglia 97 and the one in via De Castillia) for potential uptake by about 300 thousand people. The two Milan hubs have an estimated capacity of about 2,000 vaccines daily.

This initiative was organised by UniSalute and is also aimed at leading Italian businesses - companies, banks or healthcare funds who have requested it - to hasten the relaunch of our country. It was developed in coordination with the Extraordinary Commissioner's Unit led by General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, the Extraordinary Commissioner for the implementation and coordination of measures to reduce and tackle the Covid-19 emergency and carry out the vaccination campaign; it offers an additional opportunity to the vaccination plans organised by the regional health authorities (ASL) to support the business world in the organisation and provision of Covid-19 vaccines to their employees.

The planning and organisation of the vaccine plan was developed by UniSalute which has prepared about 200 sites to administer the vaccines all over Italy, along with 4 specialist hubs in Piedmont, Lombardy and Emilia Romagna and a mobile unit for potential uptake by over 800 thousand people.

The vaccines will be administered by specialised healthcare workers in very well-equipped facilities that form part of the Insurance Company's network.

The first doses of the vaccine will be administered in Lazio, Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Calabria, Sardinia, Liguria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Campania and Sicily. This will then be followed in the other Regions.

A number of big UniSalute customers have joined the vaccine plan, including BPER, ANCC (Coop), ANCD (Conad), the San.Arti Fund, and little by little, other important supplementary healthcare funds and businesses will join the programme to show their willingness to reboot the entire working fabric of the country.

The Unipol Group vaccine plan is one of the biggest projects that the Group has implemented to support the country in view of the increasing need for social-healthcare assistance which has escalated due to the pandemic. This initiative represents a true benefit for customers, agents and all employees and family members, confirming Unipol's central role in the process of integrating public and private healthcare.
