PITTSBURGH -- United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) will be hosting an
open house to provide information to the community regarding its proposed
$1 billion capital investment program at the U. S. Steel Clairton Plant that
will extend over a period of years. The open house is scheduled for Thursday,
May 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Clairton Municipal Building.
Among those scheduled to provide information at the open house are Lisa
Roudabush, general manager of the U. S. Steel Mon Valley Works, members of the
U. S. Steel environmental affairs, safety and industrial hygiene and
engineering teams. Representatives from the Allegheny County Health Department
and Uhde, a technological unit of Germany's ThyssenKrupp Technologies, will
also be available to answer questions on the program.
