UPM Fibres has now completed the change negotiations in the Fibres Finland Operations organization, according to a press release. As a result, a maximum of 88 positions will disappear.

The organization includes UPM Pulp, UPM Timber and UPM Forest. These negotiations started in October as the company wants to increase efficiency and secure its profitability. The negotiations covered 1,600 employees.

Negotiations with UPM Pulp's Finnish pulp mills and in the UPM Timber business in Finland led to an agreement on layoffs in the first half of 2025, which can be implemented in stages and last up to 90 days.
