BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ US Ecology Inc. (ECOL) on Thursday reported a loss of $4.2 million in its second quarter.

The Boise, Idaho-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, came to 10 cents per share.

The radioactive and hazardous waste services company posted revenue of $240.8 million in the period.

US Ecology expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.13 to $1.36 per share.

US Ecology shares have risen 5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $38.18, a rise of 9% in the last 12 months.
