ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) _ US Foods Holding Corp. (USFD) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $8 million.

The Rosemont, Illinois-based company said it had profit of 1 cent per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 15 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 20 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $5.85 billion in the period.

US Foods shares have dropped 50% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 47% in the last 12 months.
