20 years ago, va-Q-tec was founded as a university spin-off. The company remains proud of these roots til this day, which is why it continues to work closely with the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and the Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Würzburg-Schweinfurt. In particular, va-Q-tec focuses their support on STEM subjects. Starting in 2021, the company will sponsor extraordinary students of physics who are also active in the community as part of the established Deutschlandstipendium. This sponsorship stands for the special recognition of outstanding achievements such as, inventiveness, talent and the willingness to take on responsibility. va-Q-tec wants to give extra support to young people who stand out due to their exceptional social commitment and outstanding performance in their studies.

This support aligns perfectly with other sponsorship projects in va-Q-tec's education sector: In close cooperation with various chairs at the university and the FH the company initiates practical research projects and supports teaching by funding an endowed professorship. With its excellent Business Embedded Students and Trainees (B.E.S.T.) program, it also offers students from a wide range of disciplines various entry and development opportunities in the form of internships, student traineeships and the offer of student research projects and theses.

va-Q-tec's CEO and Chairman of the Board at va-Q-tec, Dr. Joachim Kuhn, comments: 'We are very proud to be able to support young physics talent in this way as part of the prestigious Deutschlandstipendium. Germany as an economy needs young scientists in order to continue being top innovative! We want to meet this task through this special support!'
