Vale publishes it first Report on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Aiming to increase transparency about how its performing, Vale releases its first diversity, equity and inclusion report and objectively presents the advances, challenges and opportunities in this long journey.

"We want toface the inequalities which still exist in the world and serve society, using Vale´s mobilizing capacity to the benefit of all. Therefore, our goals, are to always include of the most vulnerable groups, to combat to discrimination and to promote equity in all places where we work", affirmed Eduardo Bartolomeo, Vale's CEO. Priorities Learn more about some of the Report's highlights: In order to reach its goal of becoming more diverse, fair, and inclusive, Vale has redefined its strategies and priorities in order to guide the next steps that it takes towards achieving this goal. Six priorities were initially established for this purpose:  Evolution in numbers  Each one of these priorities was given a start through different initiatives - from awareness workshops to reviews of policies and hiring processes - which have already helped Vale to achieve short-term results.
