The Pension Fund for the Tyre and Wheel Industry (Stichting Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds voor de Banden- en Wielenbranche) has selected Kempen Capital Management (Kempen) to be its fiduciary manager.

This industry pension fund has 18,000 members and an invested capital of approximately 600 million euros. Kempen will provide both strategic advice and take responsibility for manager selection and monitoring, as well as risk management.

'In 2016, the Pension Fund for the Tyre and Wheel Industry started a tender for its asset management,' according to Ruud Spuijbroek, Chairman of the pension fund. 'Following an extensive selection procedure, we chose Kempen to be our fiduciary manager. Of all the providers we screened, they were the ones who best met our requirements and it was clear they had actually listened to what we had to say. Kempen obviously has in-depth knowledge of the specific area and the short lines of communication and their proactive attitude are aspects that we greatly appreciate.'

Paul Gerla, Chairman of the Board of Kempen, stated: 'We are delighted to have been selected by the Pension Fund for the Tyre and Wheel Industry. The market currently shows a clear trend, with institutional investors looking for cost-effective asset management solutions that are designed to meet their specific needs. This contract is confirmation of our leading position in the market for fiduciary management and is in line with our strategic ambition for continued growth.'
