Vardhman Textiles Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 26,031.8 million compared to INR 17,501 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 26,668 million compared to INR 18,068.5 million a year ago. Net income was INR 4,285.9 million compared to INR 1,705.2 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 15.122 compared to INR 6.034 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 15.08 compared to INR 5.994 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 69,152.3 million compared to INR 41,928 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 70,913 million compared to INR 43,469.6 million a year ago. Net income was INR 12,247.8 million compared to INR 1,664.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 43.236 compared to INR 5.89 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 43.094 compared to INR 5.85 a year ago.
Vardhman Textiles Limited is an India-based vertically integrated textile manufacturer. The Company is primarily in the business of manufacturing, purchase and sale of textiles. Its segments include Textiles and Acrylic Fibre. Its businesses include yarns, fabrics, acrylic fiber, garments, collections, and special steel. Its yarn products include specialty yarns, acrylic, fancy and hand-knitting yarns, dyed yarns, grey yarns and others. Its garment product includes 100% cotton, poly cotton, cotton stretch or cotton lycra, linen, cotton Tencel, Cotton viscose, and Melange. The Company produces 2,40,000 metric tons of yarn and 220 million meters of woven fabric. It produces a variety of steels in terms of type and size. The product range includes rounds, squares, peeled/drawn center-less ground bars of carbon steel, case-hardening steel, through hardening steel and others. Its subsidiaries include Vardhman Acrylics Limited and VTL Investments Limited.
