According to the complaint, Defendants misled investors by concealing the extent of- and cost to repair- the fire damage to one of Venator's most important plants for manufacturing titanium dioxide in Pori, Finland.
By mid-December 2018, after a series of partial disclosures during 2018 about the true extent of the Pori facility's problems, the price of Venator shares had eroded nearly 80% below the price just a year earlier.
