Ventia Services Group Limited has been awarded an extension of its contract providing Asset Maintenance Services to the NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC). The 18-month extension will generate a base contracted revenue of $185 million for Ventia. It will see the team continue delivering maintenance, project and program services in Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

The original contract was awarded in April 2016, and this award will extend the contract term through to 30 June 2024. Ventia delivers more than 350,000 programs of work annually for LAHC in about 60,000 homes. Ventia Group Executive of Defence and Social Infrastructure Derek Osborn said to be successful on this high-volume contract, Ventia invests significantly in technology innovations.

This enables real-time visibility of work-in-progress, fast and effective maintenance, and tenant satisfaction ratings that consistently exceed 90 per cent. All subcontractors on the contract are small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Collectively, they employ approximately 3,500 people, 104 tenants and 160 apprentices.

Five of these SMEs are also social enterprises employing people with disabilities, the long-term unemployed, youth and people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
