VEON Ltd. (NasdaqCM:VEON) is considering divesting its anchor business of Public Joint Stock Company "Vimpel-Communications" (VimpelCom) operating in Russia under the Beeline brand, Izvestiya and Prime reported citing unnamed sources close to the operator and its partners. As covered by bne IntelliNews, a number of Russian companies with large international exposure are attempting to divest their Russian assets to minimise the fallout from Russia's military invasion of Ukraine. "We regularly estimate our portfolio and look for options of investment and sale that can create value for VEON's shareholders," a spokesperson of VEON told Izvestiya.
