PRESS RELEASE

Bicycle retailer Mantel opens new logistics centre at VGP Park Nijmegen

's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, 17 June 2021 - VGP, the pan-Europeanprovider of high-qualitylogistics and semi-industrialreal estate, welcomes bicycle retailer Mantel as a new tenant at VGP Park Nijmegen, part of Park 15 in Oosterhout, Gelderland. Mantel will move into the new sustainable logistics distribution centre in February 2022.

The new building of approx. 18,500 m2 is part of the second construction phase of the new VGP Park Nijmegen, the first construction of which started at the end of 2020.

With this new logistics centre, Mantel, founded in 1938 and now one of the largest online bicycle shops, is able to fulfil its growth ambitions. Roel Jacobs, Procurement Manager at Mantel, says: "Both the web shop and Mantel's shops are growing rapidly. The processes are becoming more efficient, all logistics activities will be under one roof from now on and there is more space to store goods." He continues: "With more storage space, the new centre offers a great deal of security to keep bicycles, parts, accessories and cycling clothing well stocked all year round. In fact, the new premises offer the possibility of storing more than 50,000 bicycles and one million parts."

Geerd van Helden, Commercial Director VGP Benelux, says: "We are delighted to be able to assist a company like Mantel in their rapid growth in a segment that received an even stronger boost during the corona pandemic. We are offering Mantel a sustainable building that aims for the BREEAM Very Good certificate and will be fitted with solar panels on the roof in the future, among other things."

In total VGP Park Nijmegen comprises over 350,000 m2 of building land intended for the construction of large-scale warehouses for logistics and semi-industrial activities. The first building, with a total surface area of 67,500 m2, has already been fully let. This autumn, the first part of the second building, with a surface area of approximately 40,000 m2, will be completed and occupied by AG Logistics Services. In addition to the Mantel building, an additional 13,700 m2 will be built on a speculative basis.

VGP Park Nijmegen, located on Park 15 in Oosterhout (Gld.), is a strategically very good location between Arnhem and Nijmegen, directly on the A15 motorway and close to the German border. Other major motorways, such as the A73 and A50, are nearby and transport by rail or river is also possible. VGP Park Nijmegen, named after the nearest large city for international recognition, is part of the development known as Bedrijvenpark Park 15 Logistics. Previously, Nabuurs and Lidl, among others, were located here.
