Via Varejo S.A. reported consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 2019. For the quarter, Net Sales were BRL 5,688 million against BRL 6,367 million reported a year ago. net loss was BRL 383 million against BRL 83 million reported a year ago. LBIT was BRL 372 million against EBIT of BRL 136 million reported a year ago.
For the nine months, Net Sales were BRL 18,042 million against BRL 19,409 million reported a year ago. net loss was BRL 579 million against BRL 5 million reported a year ago. LBIT was BRL 23 million against EBIT of BRL 848 million reported a year ago.
Grupo Casas Bahia SA, formerly known as Via SA is a Brazil-based company engaged in multichannel retail of consumer electronics and furniture. The Company operates in the consumer electronics, home appliance, mobile phone and furniture retail segments through Casas Bahia and Ponto Frio banners, as well as through the e-commerce platforms: pontofrio.com, casasbahia.com and extra.com.br. The Company has over 1000 stores and is present in more than 20 Brazilian states.
