ViacomCBS Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 6,610 million compared to USD 5,837 million a year ago. Net income was USD 538 million compared to USD 615 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.7 compared to USD 0.92 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.69 compared to USD 0.92 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.81 compared to USD 1 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 0.8 compared to USD 1 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 20,586 million compared to USD 18,411 million a year ago. Net income was USD 2,485 million compared to USD 1,612 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.65 compared to USD 2.47 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.62 compared to USD 2.47 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 3.85 compared to USD 2.62 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 3.81 compared to USD 2.61 a year ago.
