French infrastructure company Vinci SA said Thursday that it signed a contract with Benin's government to build electricity infrastructure in the country.

The contract, worth 292 million euros ($349.8 million), was signed by subsidiary Vinci Energies and Benin's finance and energy ministries, and provides for the construction of electricity transmission and distribution infrastructures.

The construction will last three years, Vinci said.
