Vinci SA subsidiary Cobra IS has won two contracts worth roughly 1.06 billion euros ($1.04 billion) for high-voltage transmission lines in Brazil.

The French infrastructure company said the first contract is for the conception, construction, and operation of more than 1,000 kilometers of high voltage transmission lines in Minas Gerais State, near Sao Paulo, Brazil. The contract is worth roughly EUR670 million and will run for 30 years, Vinci said.

The second contract, which represents an amount of EUR386 million, is for the installation of 980 km of transmission lines, three substations and five substation extensions, it said. The project should involve 4,900 employees and should be delivered by the end of 2027, Vinci said.
