Vinci: modernization of seven Brazilian airports completed
This major works program is in line with the commitment made by Vinci Airports when it acquired the Amazon airports in 2021.
A total of 1.4 billion reais (around 220 ME) has been invested in the airports of Manaus (AM), Tefé (AM), Tabatinga (AM), Porto Velho (RO), Boa Vista (RR), Rio Branco (AC) and Cruzeiro do Sul (AC), to improve safety, accessibility, comfort and operational efficiency.
These improvements provide a better experience for passengers and stimulate local economic development by strengthening air links between the Amazon, Brazil and the rest of the world.
In addition to making structural improvements and ensuring operational safety, VINCI Airports has carried out strategic work to increase connectivity and thus boost passenger traffic at the seven airports. Eleven new destinations have been opened, including eight domestic and three international.
