Vinzavod AD (Winery Assenovgrad or Vinzavod Assenovgrad AD or Vinzavod PLC or Wine Plant Asenovgrad ltd) is a Bulgaria-based company that specializes in the production, bottling and distribution of wine and distilled alcoholic beverages. The Company’s product range includes red wines, such as Mavrud, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as distilled alcoholic drinks, including brandy, whiskey and mastika. The Company’s wine plant is comprised of a laboratory and lines for grape processing and wine bottling, as well as installations for wine storage, cooling the grape wine, electric scales for grape delivery and containers for fermentation. Vinzavod AD Asenovgrad exports its production to Germany, the Czech Republic, the Russian Federation, as well as to Hungary, China, Estonia, Austria and others. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s major shareholder was Vini AS AD with a stake of 49.99%.
