MIDLAND, Texas (AP) _ Viper Energy Partners LP (VNOM) on Monday reported second-quarter earnings of $34 million.

On a per-share basis, the Midland, Texas-based company said it had net income of 44 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 43 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 43 cents per share.

The oil and gas company posted revenue of $239.3 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $220 million.
