TUSTIN, Calif. (AP) _ Virgin Galactic Holdings, Inc. (SPCE) on Thursday reported a loss of $110.7 million in its second quarter.

The Tustin, California-based company said it had a loss of 43 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 38 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $357,000 in the period.
