Vitasoy International Holdings Ltd. ("Vitasoy" or the "Company") recently received individual feedback from the Hong Kong local market that VITA Lemon Tea Drink (original flavor) carries a slight taste deviation. We had launched full investigation in response to the feedback. After quality re-examination and testing, we acknowledge that the taste of certain batches of VITA Lemon Tea Drink did experience a slight deviation. Products are safe for consumption.
According to our re-examination results, the affected batches are 250ml VITA Lemon Tea Drink (original flavor) with best before date of 22nd December 2014 and 27th December 2014. The slight taste/flavor deviation is caused by natural tea leaves used as ingredients. Natural tea leaves naturally have taste/flavor variation from time to time according to the harvest and condition.
As a responsible company with commitment to provide best tasting products to consumers, we decide to proactively perform voluntary withdrawal of these two batches with immediate effect. These two batches have not been shipped to the Export's overseas market.
For assuring consumers' confidence on Vitasoy products, if local consumers who have purchased any of the two batches of products are welcome to call the Company's hotline at 2468 9645 or obtain refund at the point of purchase. The refund dates would be effective from 19th February, 2014 to 28th February,
2014.
Vitasoy reiterates that these two batches of products are safe for consumption. The Company places quality as priority always and will continue to apply stringent quality control and testing system to ensure products are delivering the best quality standard.
