The Campbell, California-based company said it had a loss of 61 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $17.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $31.5 million, or $2.96 per share. Revenue was reported as $69.8 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $1.67. A year ago, they were trading at $4.56.
