Sterling Bank Realizes a Zero Downtime Migration

After the pivotal decision to dismantle their data centers, Sterling Bank turned to trusted vendors for help. They consulted Deloitte on data center migration, disaster recovery and cloud management services, and partnered with VMware for the innovative technology needed. The Sterling and Deloitte team executed a 'lift and shift' migration, moving Sterling Bank's whole on-premises environment to VMware Cloud on AWS. Rehosting applications in the cloud and using VMware HCX™ enabled a transition so seamless customers and employees experienced zero interruptions to their services. Now, the Sterling National Bank team can monitor the health and capacity of their environment using VMware vRealize® Operations™, centrally managing all functions and identifying risks before they can impact services.
