VNV Global AB (publ) (“VNV Global” or the “Company”) today announces it is hiring four new team members to increase the capacity of its investment team.

Following two years of strong momentum, during which VNV Global’s investment portfolio has grown significantly, this expansion of the team will allow the Company to continue to capitalize on its increased deal flow and further support existing portfolio companies.

The new hires are:

  • Daan Sanders: Former eBay strategist Daan co-founded Harvest (strategy consulting) and Harvest adVentures (early stage investor & operator) in 2009. After becoming the European leader in online strategy and monetisation, Harvest was acquired by Naspers/Prosus in 2013. Daan specialises in marketplaces and global scaling. Over the last six years Daan has built and operated marketplaces throughout LATAM, African and the Middle East for Prosus.

  • Tessa Wanders: Early-stage investment specialist Tessa joins VNV Global from Dutch VC Peak. She previously was part of the founding team of New York’s marketplace and consumer-focused venture capital firm, FJ Labs, as well as co-founding startups Toko, and HEY FRIDA.

  • Alexander Trofimov: Alexander has worked in Banking focused on emerging markets for nearly 20 years. Most recently he is coming from Sberbank CIB in NewYork and before that he was at UBS in Moscow.

The quartet of Daan Sanders, Tessa Wanders, Dennis Mohammad, and Alexander Trofimov, brings significant operating experience and entrepreneurial vision to the VNV Global team that will be a great complement the capabilities of the Company’s existing team.

Per Brilioth, VNV Global’s CEO, comments:

“I am very excited to announce a long overdue investment into the expansion of our investment team, with four new members. The background is a growing portfolio, both in value and number of names, a growing complexity, a growing pipeline. This team gives us more capacity to do what we do today but also adds diversity and capacity to do stuff that we don't do today. With this increased and robust investment team we will continue to work with our unchanged ambition to generate attractive long-term returns for all our shareholders.”
