Vodafone Group PLC on Thursday said that the chief executive officer of Vodafone Business, Vinod Kumar, will retire on Dec. 31 to pursue a portfolio career.

The U.K.-based telecommunications company said Mr. Kumar will stay with the group until the end of the year and will focus on developing the Internet of Things activity, leading external partnerships and alliances and delivering growth priorities.

A successor will be named in due course, it said.
