Voltas Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 17,720.6 million compared to INR 19,704 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 18,223.4 million compared to INR 20,462.6 million a year ago. Net income was INR 959.8 million compared to INR 1,279.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 2.9 compared to INR 3.87 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 52,073.5 million compared to INR 48,287.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 54,198.6 million compared to INR 50,614 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,213.9 million compared to INR 2,874.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 9.71 compared to INR 8.69 a year ago.
Voltas Limited is an India-based air conditioning and engineering solutions provider and a projects specialist. The Company's segments include Unitary Cooling Products, Electro - Mechanical Projects and Services, and Engineering Products and Services. Unitary Cooling Products segment includes manufacturing, selling and after sales services of cooling appliances and cold storage products, and facilities maintenance and hard services, such as operations and maintenance contracts in various sectors, retrofits and energy management, among others. Electro - Mechanical Projects and Services segment includes electro-mechanical projects, such as electricals, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, extra low voltage and specialized services, and water solutions, such as comprises water treatment solutions for industrial, oil and gas and domestic sewage segments, among others. Engineering Products and Services segment includes textile machinery and mining and construction equipment.
