NEW YORK (AP) _ Vroom, Inc. (VRM) on Wednesday reported a loss of $37.9 million in its third quarter.

The New York-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 37 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $323 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $312.2 million.

For the current quarter ending in December, Vroom expects its results to range from a loss of 41 cents per share to a loss of 35 cents per share.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $372 million to $414 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
