Wagners Holding Company Limited announced that it has secured a renewal of its haulage services contract with Glencore for the haulage of zinc ore and tailings between George Fisher and Lady Loretta Mines and the Mount Isa Mines metal processing facility. Glencore owns and operates the George Fisher and Lady Loretta underground mines which are located approximately 20km and 140km respectively from Mount Isa in north-west Queensland along with a processing facility in Mount Isa which is responsible for the production of zinc, lead and copper concentrates. The company scope of works will include the loading of the ore at the mine sites and its haulage to the processing facility in Mount Isa along with haulage of tailings from the processing facility back to both the George Fisher and Mount Isa Mines. The haulage services will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the term of the agreement utilizing 22 triple and quad road train combinations. The company secured the renewal of its contract through a successful competitive tender process having demonstrated the required expertise and ability to deliver such an integral component of the mining operations having provided these services to Glencore since 2016. The company has successfully undertaken similar haulage services for clients in the resources sector in recent years and remains engaged on a number of projects in the North West and Central Queensland and Northern Territory.
