Sam's Club, Walmart Inc.'s chain of membership warehouse clubs, plans to open 30 new locations across the U.S. over the next several years, with the first coming to Florida in 2024.

The company said Thursday that it also has a multi-year plan to modernize its supply chain with new distribution and fulfillment centers across the country.

Sam's Club is looking to launch five of those new centers in 2023, with the first coming to Georgia in the third quarter.

The expansion comes after historic sales growth and a record rise in Sam's Club memberships in the past two years, the company said.
