Deal Comes as Part of a New Venture with Electric Feel Entertainment

Warner Chappell Music has extended its worldwide publishing agreement with breakout hitmaker Carter Lang through a joint venture with Electric Feel Entertainment, covering his existing and future works. A highly sought-after producer, some of Lang's most iconic hits include Post Malone and Swae Lee's RIAA 11x diamond-certified and Grammy-nominated global sensation "Sunflower," and Doja Cat and SZA's hit "Kiss Me More," which has spent a record-breaking 28 weeks in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100.

Warner Chappell Music President of A&R, U.S., Ryan Press, said: "Carter continues to create hit after hit, and there's truly no limit to what he can do as a songwriter, producer and musician. He's already built relationships with a range of artists and developed a really diverse skillset, and we're looking forward to helping him grow even more in partnership with Austin and David at Electric Feel."

Warner Chappell Music Co-Chair and CEO, Guy Moot, and Co-Chair and COO, Carianne Marshall, added: "Carter is an incredible hitmaker with a range of musical talents, from playing piano and drums to producing beats and writing songs. He's a true master of his craft, and we're so thrilled to continue on this journey with him."

On the deal, Carter Lang shared: "Warner Chappell understands my creative flow, and together with EF we've adapted naturally. They've helped me make some invaluable connections, secure deals and navigate the field while I focus on creating and balancing spontaneity with precision."

A&R Partner and Manager at Electric Feel Entertainment, David Waltzer added: "Carter has had an unbelievable year and this deal with Warner Chappell only further continues his upward trajectory. His commitment to music and his amazing ear shows just how talented and versatile he truly is. I look forward to more success in the coming year alongside Carter and Warner Chappell."

The Chicago native got his start in music at a young age, playing classical piano, bass, and guitar as well as making beats. In high school, he formed a band called The O'My's and landed multiple performances, including several South by Southwest showcases. Lang attended Loyola University in New Orleans where he studied music business, and four years later, returned to Chicago with a new hunger for his artistic ambitions. He was first introduced to SZA in 2015, which marked the start of their longstanding partnership. They performed at Lollapalooza together that same year, and Lang went on to contribute to eight songs on her debut album Ctrl. In 2017, he helped to create SZA's RIAA 5x multi-platinum track ft. Travis Scott "Love Galore" and joined her Ctrl Tour that year - performing at more than 60 live shows. In 2020, he helped pen "Good Days," which became SZA's first solo top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Throughout his career, Lang has also collaborated with a variety of acclaimed and award-winning R&B, pop, and hip-hop artists. In 2016, he worked on Rihanna's "Consideration" from the Billboard 200 No. 1 album Anti - which was recognized in 2020 as the longest charting album by a Black female artist in Billboard 200 history. In 2018, he produced Post Malone and Swae Lee's "Sunflower," which is RIAA 11x diamond-certified and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track appeared on Malone's Billboard 200 No. 1 album, Hollywood's Bleeding. Most recently, he's produced and written for top acts such as Lil Nas X, Jaden, Big Sean, Swae Lee, Jhené Aiko, Summer Walker, Shelley FKA DRAM, and 24kGoldn, among many others.
