WATERBURY, Conn., April 3, 2012 - Larry Selnick, director, treasury and payment solutions at Webster Bank, is being named to the Connecticut Mentoring Hall of Fame of the Connecticut Mentoring Partnership, an initiative of The Governor's Prevention Partnership.

The honor will be presented on Wednesday, April 4th at the 11th Annual Corporate Mentoring Honor Roll Breakfast.  The event will take place at the Rocky Hill Marriott in Rocky Hill, Conn., beginning at 8:30 a.m.

This year, The Partnership launched its Hall of Fame to recognize outstanding individuals from corporations and businesses who have made a long-lasting impact on the State's mentoring community.  This prestigious award was developed to honor those who have significantly increased the odds of young people being successful in school and in life.

Larry, who resides in Cheshire, Conn., has been a mentor for more than 10-years.  He was selected for the Hall of Fame for his passion about the growth of the mentoring program.  Larry's vision convinced Webster's IT department to develop a state of the art, online application process and tracking system to chart the success stories of the mentees.

Larry has more than 30 years of banking experience including cash management systems, bank operations and product management.  He joined Webster's management team in 1995.  Larry serves on numerous boards including the Connecticut Chapter of the Red Cross and the United Way of Connecticut 211 Call Center.
