NOTICE TO THE MARKET
Restructuring at Automation Business Unit
WEG S.A. (B3: WEGE3 / OTC: WEGZY) announces to shareholders and the general market that the Board of Directors, at a meeting held on August 23, 2022, approved the following restructuring, effective as of September 1, 2022.
The pace of growth of WEG's operations, mainly due to internationalization and entry into new businesses, demands a structure focused on dealing with the challenges, not only on traditional drives
controls equipment sales, but also in digital solutions, focused on industry 4.0, as well as in the electric mobility segment, all of which are currently allocated to the WEG Automation Business Unit.
Intending to leverage growth in these segments, especially on market actions and technological development, the Board of Directors approved splitting the current WEG Automation Business Unit into two new Business Units, as follows:
WEG Automation: responsible for automation and electrification PRODUCTS for industry and building & infrastructure, focusing on accelerating the internationalization of the drives business and continuing to expand the product offering. The Chief Operating Officer of this Business Unit remains Mr. Manfred Peter Johann, who has been in this role since 2013. Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering of Joinville and with a Specialization in Marketing Administration from the College of Administration and Economic Sciences Santana / SP, Mr. Manfred has been with the company since 1997.
WEG Digital & Systems: new Business Unit, responsible for DIGITAL SOLUTIONS and SYSTEMS for industry, the energy sector, infrastructure, and electric mobility. The Chief Operating Officer of this new Business Unit will be Mr. Carlos José Bastos Grillo, an executive who graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande, postgraduate in Production Engineering from Universidade São Judas Tadeu / SP, and in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. At WEG since 1997, Mr. Grillo currently occupies the Director of Digital Business, having extensive experience in products, industrial processes, engineering, and software development.
We wish Mr. Manfred and Mr. Grillo great success in their new challenges.

WEG S.A. specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of electrical and electronic equipment. Net sales (including intragroup) break down by activity as follows:
- manufacturing of industrial automation equipment (32.4%): low and medium voltage electric motors, monitoring and protection systems, electrical panels, etc. ;
- production of electricity (10.5%): for thermal and hydropower plants.
The remaining of net sales (57.1%) are for activities insured abroad.
At the end of 2020, the group operated 47 production sites worldwide.
