Polaris Private Equity Fund V, L.P. managed by Polaris Capital Group Co., Ltd. made an offer to acquire 80% stake in Welbe, Inc. (TSE:6556) from Makoto Ota, Takao Chiga, Koichi Ito and others for ¥24 billion on February 8, 2024. Polaris hires Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. as a financial advisor regarding this transaction and Nishimura & Asahi as a legal advisor. Yamada Consulting Co., Ltd. as a financial advisor and TMI Sogo Law Offices was appointed as a legal advisor to Welbe, Inc. (TSE:6556).

Welbe, Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in provision of disability welfare services. The employment transition support business provides employment training, including preparation and correction of application forms, mock interview and practical training in workplace. The business also provides specific consultation support and independence training for people with disabilities. The rehabilitation business provides instruction for growth and development for pre-school children with developmental disorders and lesson support for primary school students, junior high school students, and high school students after school classes and during long vacation.
