As a company in the flexible packaging industry, we are very conscious of our social, environmental and economic responsibility.

Before its end-of-life, packaging plays an essential role as it protects the valuable content throughout the supply chain and enables a proper and safe delivery to the end-consumer. Flexible packaging is designed to minimize the use of packaging materials, thus it is generally more resource efficient than alternative packaging types. It plays a minor part of a (e.g. food) product's total environmental footprint, but a major role in preservation. Hence, insufficient or inadequate packaging would increase the overall footprint tremendously. Flexible packaging with customized barrier protection and appropriate portioning therefore reduces the risk of (food) waste, saving more resources than it consumes.

We envision a world in which packaging provides people with the highest benefit at the lowest impact on the environment. Being active around the globe, we are aware of our impact on the environment and society and commit to produce high quality products, while recognizing the importance of working in a safe, ethical and sustainable manner.

Sustainability has been an integral part of our business activities for many years. Our ESG Commitments (as part of our roadmap for the next years) outline our main focus areas in the fields of environment, society and governance:

  • Climate Change: GHG emissions
  • Circular Economy: recyclability of products
  • Sustainability and collaboration along the value chain
  • Health & Safety at work
  • Health & Safety of consumers: safe products
  • Diversity & equal opportunity
  • Talent attraction, development and retention
  • Governance and business ethics
