WH Group Ltd.'s net profit for the six months ended June rose 19%, helped by higher contributions from its hog-production and fresh-pork segments.

Net profit before fair-value adjustments rose to $550 million from $463 million a year ago, the company said Tuesday. Revenue rose to $12.48 billion, compared with $11.13 billion in 2018.

WH Group has proposed an interim dividend of HK$0.05 per share.

The company said packaged meats will remain its core business and it will continue to work on its product portfolio through new product development and innovation.
