Willis Towers Watson Public Limited Company reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 2,031 million compared to USD 2,091 million a year ago. Net income was USD 109 million compared to USD 184 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.38 compared to USD 0.89 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.38 compared to USD 0.88 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.97 compared to USD 1.42 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 0.97 compared to USD 1.41 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 4,191 million compared to USD 4,319 million a year ago. Net income was USD 231 million compared to USD 917 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.31 compared to USD 5.07 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.31 compared to USD 5.05 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 2.01 compared to USD 7.06 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 2.01 compared to USD 7.04 a year ago.
Willis Towers Watson Public Limited Company is a world leader in consulting, insurance brokerage and risk management software development. Revenues break down by activity as follows:
- human capital and social benefits consulting services (35.6%): consulting services in the organization, skills assessment, management and optimization of social benefits, compensation of executives and employees, etc. ;
- development of enterprise risk management solutions and services (31.9%): risk analysis, assessment consulting, effective risk management and anticipation services, design and development of software solutions for risk management. The group is also developing an insurance brokerage activity;
- risk/return balance management consulting services (17.7%): for investors, insurers and reinsurers. Revenue is distributed geographically as follows: Ireland (1.7%), the United States (49.7%), the United Kingdom (20.5%) and other (28.1%).
