The board of directors of Win Hanverky Holdings Limited announced operating update of the group's main factory in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam in view of the recent development of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. Since late last week, some of the group's employees at the Main Vietnam Factory have been infected with COVID-19 and there was a total of 3 confirmed cases up to July 15, 2021. Following the COVID-19 containment measures imposed by the local authority and for the benefit of the well-being and safety of the group's employees, the group initially decided to temporarily close the Main Vietnam Factory for a few days starting from July 12, 2021 to undertake thorough sanitisation and disinfection of the premises. It was however extended due to more stringent COVID-19 containment measures subsequently imposed by the local authority in that region. The group strives to resume normal operations by the end of July 2021 and has been actively working with the local authority in this regard. The group's another minor factory in the same industrial zone has also been closed. To mitigate the potential impact of the temporary closure of the Vietnam Factories to its customers and the group, the group will endeavour to re-allocate the production orders to its factories in Mainland China and Cambodia. The group is committed to protecting the health and safety of its employees and will fully comply with the COVID-19 containment measures imposed by the local authority so as to ensure a safe working environment. The company will continuously monitor the situation and make further announcements as and when appropriate.
