Taiwan - Winbond Electronics Corporation today announced business results for the first half of 2021.

Consolidated revenue for 2021H1 totaled NT$46.56 billion; net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was NT$ 4,922 million; earnings per share in 2021H1 was NT$1.24.

As far as memory business is concerned, revenue for the for the first half of 2021 totaled NT$25.701 billion, an increase of 36 percent compared to the same period of 2020. Revenue from DRAM accounted for 46% of net sales for 2021H1. Winbond DRAM revenue was up by nearly 40% year-over-year. Revenue from Flash Memory accounted for 54% of net sales for 2021H1, Winbond Flash revenue was up by over 30% year-over-year. Furthermore, Winbond remained No.1 NOR Flash supplier worldwide.

In the first half of 2021, applications for consumer, communication, computer, and car & industrial accounted for 26%, 35%, 20%, and 19% of total memory revenue, respectively.
