This award recognizes WNC's innovative R&D capability and design philosophy that combines functionality and aesthetics.
WNC's award-winning 5G ODU, an outdoor 5G CPE, is designed to deliver broadband network connectivity to homes or businesses whether in urban, suburban or rural areas. It comes with a water- and dust-proof outer enclosure, and features security mechanisms that meet cybersecurity best practices. Installation is quick and easy; after just a few steps users can access secure, high-speed internet.
Due to its unique antenna design and RF calibration, the 5G ODU allows users to seamlessly switch between 5G and LTE services in any location. The combination omni/directional antenna design of the 5G ODU enables the device to overcome geographical barriers and provide internet access to rural residents. An Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) of less than 0.3 shows that the device has an outstanding antenna MIMO system design with good isolation (or less correlation) between antennas.
It has been more than two years since WNC embarked on 5G related R&D. Thanks to these efforts, WNC's 5G ODU has won the favor of a European tier-one carrier, who has in turn worked with WNC in planning the rollout of IDUs and ODUs in a number of countries. With this achievement, WNC demonstrates that its innovative engineering and design capabilities are globally recognized in the industry.
WNC's 5G ODU will be on display at the CES 2022 Innovation Awards Showcase at the Venetian Expo (#52952). WNC will also showcase the 5G ODU at its CES booth (#53107, Hall C) at the Venetian Expo.
