● Intergiro has appointed Johan Ryer as Chief Commercial Officer.

● Intergiro offers a suite of APIs that allow companies to provide embedded
banking services to their customers.

execution for its Payment Partnerships, amongst other roles.

Johan Ryer has joined the executive team at Intergiro, a Swedish FinTech company focused on providing the all-in-one digital financial toolkit, comprising API-based financial solutions for businesses in Europe. Intergiro’s suite of APIs allow companies to embed financial services and provide them to their customers, in addition to automating their own banking operations. Its flexible APIs enable clients to create anything from card programmes, PSPs and white-label banking services, to fully-fledged neobank-style financial institutions.

Ryer will be taking over the role of Chief Commercial Officer for the company. In this role, he will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy and capitalising on the huge growth opportunities in the Banking-as-a-Service and payment processing industries. Ryer was CEO of Euroline (the credit card acquiring entity of the Swedish Bank SEB), a payment institution that was later acquired and became Bambora. After 2013, he worked for Bambora (now Worldline) as Head of Business Development for Payment Partnerships, including a two-year stint as Managing Director for Digital Commerce. He has more than 20 years of experience working primarily in digital payments and merchant acquiring solutions, well aligned with Intergiro’s core product suite of card issuing, card acquiring and payments. Hence, Intergiro sees Johan as the perfect fit to lead the next wave of growth to fulfil their ambitious expansion plans.

Nick Root, CEO and co-founder of Intergiro, said: “I am delighted to welcome Johan to our team. He brings a wealth of financial sector experience and an outstanding track record that will be invaluable as we continue our rapid growth.”

Johan Ryer, incoming CCO Intergiro, commented: “I am very excited to work with Intergiro as it continues to expand its business banking services, and becomes the go-to Banking-as-a-Service provider in Europe. The transformation Intergiro is embarking on, with its fully API-driven services and a remarkable tech stack, will reduce the cost and complexity of financial services and pave the way for the future of banking.” Ryer added: “I look forward to helping drive commercial success and accelerating growth in this rapidly evolving industry.”
