Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, October 8, 2020: interCaribbean Airways, Ltd. (interCaribbean) is proud to announce the launch of its humanitarian partnership with World Pediatric Project (WPP). WPP is a non-profit humanitarian organization linking worldwide pediatric surgical, diagnostic, and preventative resources to heal more than 2,000 critically ill children in low-resource countries in the Caribbean and Central America, every year.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, interCaribbean, which recently expanded services to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean States, is committed to supporting WPP with transportation of patients and medical practitioners throughout the Caribbean region at no cost. As part of the agreement, interCaribbean has donated round trip airline tickets to be used at WPP's direction for medical travel to any destination or routes on which interCaribbean serves.

Chairman of interCaribbean Airways, Mr. Lyndon Gardiner, who was instrumental in establishing the humanitarian agreement, has expressed his and the company's pleasure and satisfaction in undertaking such a life-changing endeavour for families in the Eastern Caribbean. According to Mr. Gardiner 'through this partnership, we bring together people who are in good faith working to alleviate the suffering of children in need across our region, and interCaribbean is pleased to assist in this way.'

Having expanded its services to Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, and Dominica in early August, and with newly announced services to St. Vincent and the Grenadines from October 1st, interCaribbean aims to distinguish itself in regional partnerships, service and customer satisfaction.

About World Pediatric Project

WPP is a non-profit organization which provides tertiary critical healthcare to children throughout the Eastern Caribbean and Central America at no cost to the families as well as building healthcare capacity in the world. Since 2001, WPP has provided pediatric surgical and diagnostic care in specialties including: orthopedics, cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology and neonatal training programs. Over the last 18 years, WPP has conducted over 3200 surgeries or procedures and a few hundred children have been referred to partner hospitals in the United States for complex care. The value of services is in excess of US$72 million with WPP mobilizing over 190 teams to the region over the years.
