CLARIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

PROFIT WARNING

This announcement is made by Xinte Energy Co., Ltd. (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") pursuant to the Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Future Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Reference is made to the announcement of the Company dated 14 August 2020 in relation to the profit warning of the Company (the "Announcement").

The Company would like to clarify and correct the Announcement as follows.

In the third paragraph of the Announcement, "the average sales price of polysilicon of the Group was approximately RMB52.1/kg (tax exclusive) in the First Half of 2020, representing a drop of approximately 17.17% compared with approximately RMB62.9/kg (tax exclusive) in the corresponding period in 2019".

Save for the clarification stated in this announcement, all information in the Announcement remains unchanged.
